Project Overview
The evolution of internet and computing technologies stimulates the integration and sharing of geospatial resources, including computing storages, networks, sensors, geospatial data, software, and processing models, while GeoComputation facilitates the extensive and intensive integration and applications of these geospatial resources. GeoComputation is attracting wide attention, and regarded as a valuable and emergent topic of geo-scientific research and applications. Specially, GeoComputation is serving as a strong decision-aiding tool for resource exploitation, environmental protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, and global changes research.
To accelerate GeoComputation research, we developed this GeoComputing platform, containing two core components: Data & Service Registration Center and GeoChaining.
Data & Service Registration Center aims to enable community users to register, share, discover and collaborate with the geospatial datasets and services.
GeoChaining is a new integrated geospatial web service chain(GWSC) modeling framework that encompasses entire lifecycle(i.e., conception, creation, deployment, execution, monitoring, and refinement) for GWSC. It can show the GWSC's execution status dynamically, making status monitoring and error tracking intuitively.
